Henning Kjærnulf

Henning Kjaernulf was a Danish designer who sold his work through several manufacturers in the 1960's. Kjaernulf's Expandable Teak Dining Table was sold through Povl Dinesen, a Danish maker. This massive teak table is an engineering triumph and true work of art. When closed, it's a 4-ft diameter round table. Four 20-inch leaves are included, which expand the Table from 4 feet to more than 10 and a half feet. In different configurations it can comfortably seat 4, 6, 8, or even 10 diners. When extended, a tripod leg drops down to support the center of the Table. Kjaernulf also had his products made by Nyrup Mobelfabrik A/S and Soro Stolefabrik A/S.
