The Barcelona chairs were designed between 1927 and 1932 by Kaare Klint, who is considered to be the father of modern Danish furniture design.

This chair was made by cabinetmaker Rud. Rasmussen in 1940, evidenced by his mark and production number under the seat. The staples under the seat indicate that it has been opened for upholstery at some point.

The frame of the chair has been overlooked and refinished by our cabinetmaker and is in very good condition.
