The art nuveau ash tray / bowl feature a well made lively squirrel and is in excellent condition.
Ipsens Enke (1843 - 1955) was a very succesfull company that especially during the first part of the 1900´s managed to attract several leading names in Danish design who worked for the factory and exportet their pieces to many countries.
Over the years, the factory's creations acquired 56 first-class international prizes and are represented in many public institutions among them Neue Pinakothek in Munich, the National Museum in Stockholm, the Los Angeles Museum in California, Cleveland and the Brooklyn Museums, the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh, the National Museum of Finland in Helsinki, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, Les Amis des Musees de la ville de Mons, Brussels, the National Arts Club in New York and the Latvian National History Museum in Riga.
